CEDAR FALLS - Josephine Wilson Mooers, 94, of Brandon, Fla., formerly of Cedar Falls, died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001 at her home of natural causes.

She was born Sept. 20, 1906, in Cedar Falls, daughter of William and Elizabeth Schaffenberg Coombs. She married William J. Wilson Sept. 19, 1929, in Cedar Falls. He died in 1961. She then married Sylvester Mooers April 25, 1982, in Cedar Falls. He died in 1992.

She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Viking Pump, Cedar Falls.

Survived by a son, James Wilson of Normal, Ill.; a daughter, Rita Burbridge of Brandon; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Hough, Esther Boggs and Wilma Eaton.

Memorial services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. There will be no visitation.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
