Christoffer Nelson, a Cedar Rapids resident since 1930, died at a nursing home Wednesday following a long illness.
Born in Waterloo Jan. 11, 1905, he was an army veteran of World War II and had been employed as an auto mechanic.
Surviving are three sons, Wesley, of Cedar Rapids, and Ronald and Kennard both of California; 13 grandchildren; two brothers, Theodore Nielsen and Iver A. Nielsen, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Lagerquist, all of Cedar Rapids.
Services at Turner Chapel West at 1:30 p.m. Friday by Major John Kimmons of the Salvation Army. Burial at Linwood Cemetery.
The family requests that flowers be omitted and that friends contribute to the cancer society.
