WATERLOO - Viola L. Walker, 80, of Karrington Cottages, died there Monday, Jan. 8, 2001 of natural causes.

She was born March 14, 1920, in Coffeeville, Kan., the daughter of Charles and Edith Milledge Shorter. She married Delbert S. Walker June 19, 1940, in Nashua. He died April 17, 1999.

Mrs. Walker worked as a senior aide at Covenant Medical Center from 1968 until retiring in 1985.

Survived by a daughter, Eleanor Vanous of Cedar Falls; and a grandson.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Ann Marie.

Services: 7 p.m. Thursday at Locke Funeral Home, with burial at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Littleton Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:30 p.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home.
