WATERLOO - Murl P. Klinger, 91, of 1640 E. Mitchell Ave., formerly of Allerton, died Monday, Dec. 25, 2000 at Covenant Medical Center emergency room of natural causes.

He was born Sept. 26, 1909, in Harvard, son of John and Maggie Ripper Klinger. He married Genavene Biser on Sept. 28, 1940, in Seymour.

Mr. Klinger farmed for many years in the Harvard area, retiring in 1997.

Survived by his wife; a son, Larry of Waterloo; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Marcia Thompson of Corydon.

Preceded in death by three brothers, John, Albert and Emmett; and three sisters, Ella Niday, Ola Cobb and Leona Gould.

Services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, with burial in Waterloo Cemetery. Friends may call for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Karl LeCompte Public Library, Corydon, or Seymour Public Library, Seymour.
