Edward F. Sebetka,71, of Jesup, dkd Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, after a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 10, 1929, in Linn County, son of Joseph Frank and Clara Josephine Dlask Sebetka. He married Leona Ann Fischels on March 30, 1948, in Independence.

Mr. Sebetka retired from John Deere, Waterloo, in 1990, having worked in the electrical chrome plating department

Survived by his wife; three daughters, Sandi Embrey of Waterloo, Joyce Hamblin of Jesup and Pam Finley of Brandon; three sons, Larry and Rick, both of Jesup, and Jim of Brandon; 18 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Teresa Campbell of Mesa, Ariz.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Jesup, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at White Funeral Home, Jesup, where there will be a 3 p.m. parish rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
