WATERLOO - Lola G. "Geri" Weiss, 67, of 1002 Ann St., died Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001, at Covenant Medical Center of cancer.

She was born May 30, 1933, in Webster County, daughter of Hobert and Verda Dotson Cantrell. She married James Freeman Fain in Arkansas in 1949. They were later divorced. She married Ronald Weiss in March 1981 in Galena, Ill.

Mrs. Weiss had worked at Donutland on La Porte Road and at Paradise Donuts.

Survived by her husband; four sons, James Richard Fain, Mike Fain and Curtis Fain, all of Waterloo, and Shawn Fain of Winthrop; four daughters, Sharon Frohling, Amy Varzavand and Jessica Weiss, all of Waterloo, and Heidie Cowart of Independence; two stepdaughters, Jamie Tekippe of Dyersville and Cindy Frethein of Evansdale; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Clifford Cantrell of Waterloo and William Cantrell of Niangua, Mo.

Preceded in death by four sisters, Luella Moore, Betty Jackson, Shirley Jo Cantrell and Mildred Cantrell.

Services were 10 a.m. today at Kearns, Huisman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Cancer Treatment Center.
