WATERLOO —Joel Edward Linser, 37, of Waterloo, formerly of Marshalltown, died Sunday, Dec. 17, 2000, in Waterloo of a pulmonary embolism.

He was born July 3,1963, in Marshall County, son of Roger and Mary Wark Linser. He attended Marshalltown schools and was employed in a work program with Adults Inc. under the auspices of Head Injury of Iowa.

Survived by his parents of Marshalltown; four brothers, Dan of Marshalltown, Mark
of Atlanta, Ga., Timothy of Seattle, Wash., and Phillip of Ankeny; and a sister, Judith Culberson of Winston Salem, N.C.

Preceded in death by grandparents, George and Charlotte Wark and Robert and Delia Linser.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, both in Mashalltown. Friends may call after 3:30 p.m. today at Estel-Perrin-Avey Funeral Home, Marshalltown, with family present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
