Deitrick F. “Dick” Overmann, 56, of Rowley, died Friday, Nov. 16, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

He was born April 4, 1956, in Waterloo, son of Frank Henry and Winifred Ann Herzmann Overmann. He graduated from school in Jesup in 1974. Mr. Overmann worked at John Deere Tractor Works, Waterloo until his retirement.

Survived by a daughter, Jenny (Tim) Cappel of Independence; a son, Scott of Coralville; three grandchildren: his special friend, Deb Smith of Rowley; and a brother, David of Jesup.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at White Funeral Home, with burial at a later date in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, both in Jesup. Visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
