Carol Jo Kelley, 66, of Dike, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Sartori Memorial Hospital, Cedar Falls.

She was born Jan. 21, 1946, in Cedar Falls, daughter of Cornelius and Wanda Fischer. She married Kurt E. Kelley on Dec. 29, 1963, at her parents’ home in Dike.

Mrs. Kelley graduated from Dike High School in 1964 and in the late 1980s graduated from Hawkeye Community College as a licensed practical nurse. She worked as a nurse at the Western Home, Cedar Falls, for 10 years, then went to work as a community trainer for Goodwill Industries, retiring in 2011.

Survived by: her husband; three daughters, Dawn Kelley (Sheldon Levin), Jenette (Wayne) Maas and Susan Canale; two sons, David (Marion) and Kurt (Dori Heidt-Kelley); many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Goldenstein and Jane Shea; and two brothers, Gene and Jon Fischer.

Preceded in death by a brother, Neal Fischer; a sister, Pamela Fischer; and a son-in-law, Tom Canale.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dike United Methodist Church, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Dike.
