WATERLOO — Marianne Anderson, 60, of 766 Russell Road, formerly of the Conrad area, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998, at home of natural causes.

She was born Dec. 18, 1937, in Danzig, Germany, daughter of Bernhard H. and Liesbeth E. Demolskie Butzlaff. She married Leo Papenberg in 1960. They were later divorced. She married Richard G. Anderson on June 12, 1971, in Marshalltown.

Mrs. Anderson was employed by Marshall Manufacturing and Ritchie Corp., both in Marshalltown, and most recently had worked at Oakview Nursing Home, Conrad, for seven years.

Survived by her husband; a daughter, Corrie Anderson of Waterloo; two sons, Frank Papenberg of Guymon, Okla., and Nathan Anderson of Jacksonville, N.C.; three grandchildren; two sisters, Erika Miller of Marshalltown and Heika Seemann of Sioux City; and two brothers, Gerhard Butzlaff of Plymouth, Minn., and Dieter Butzlaff of Melbourne.

Preceded in death by a sister, Gitta Mueller.

Memorial services were 11 a.m. today at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home & Crematory, Marshalltown, with inurnment at a later date.

Memorials may be directed Cedar Valley Hospice.
