Charles Hoosman, 59, died at 3 a. m. Saturday at his home, 343 Albany St. of a cerebral hemorrhage following an illness of the past four and one-half years.

He was born on Jan. 25. 1894, at Durant, Miss., the son of John and Georgia Hoosman. He was employed at the Illinois Central shops.

On May 29, 1917, he married Betty Lou Love at Durant, Miss. They came to Waterloo 13 years ago.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Detroit Hoosman, 347 Albany St., and Roscoe C. of Ft. Madison; three sisters, Mrs. Katie Jackson, 224 Halstead St.; Mrs. Fannie Jordan, 102 N. Barclay St.. and Mrs. Minnie Patterson, 502 Cottage St.

His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Shilliam Ave. Church of God in Christ. The body was taken to Kistner Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are pending.
