FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN NEW YORK--CYRUS HALL PASSES AWAY AT HOME OF RELATIVES. BODY BROUGHT HERE FOR BURIAL IN FAIRVIEW CEMETERY.

The remains of Cyrus Hall, who passed away in Cassadaga, New York Tuesday, arrived in Waterloo yesterday and will be buried this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist church at 2 o'clock and Rev. E.B. Jones of Cedar Falls will officiate. Burial will be made in Fairview cemetery.

Deceased was a pioneer resident of Blackhawk county, coming here about forty-seven years ago from Massachusetts. He resided on a farm north of Waterloo on the Logan avenue road and was also a resident of Cedar Falls a short time. While a resident of Cedar Falls, he conducted a fruit farm on West 12th street near the Fairview cemetery. He moved to New York about two years ago and made his home with his niece Mrs. Pierpont. J. Boardman Hall of this city is a brother of the deceased. Mrs. A.J. Edwards is a cousin.

The body was accompanied from New York by Mr. and Mrs. Pierpont. They will attend the funeral today and remain in the city for a few days visiting relatives and friends. They former lived in this county. Mrs. Hall passed away about ten years ago and was buried in Fairview.
