James W. Jensen Dies at Hospital at Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - James Waldemer* Jensen, 33, 713 Main Street, died at 12:40 a.m. at Sartori Memorial Hospital following an emergency operation for appendicitis Sunday.

He was born Oct. 11, 1900, in Breiston, Denmark, and at the age of 15 came to this county, living at Omaha a short time before coming to Cedar Falls. He was in World War service in France, enlisting from Cedar Falls with the Three hundred thirty-first infantry, Eighty-eighth division. Mr. Jensen was a member of the local American Legion post.

On June 25, 1925, he married De Elda Long, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Long, at Hampton. They made their home here.

Mr. Jensen has been employed as salesman at the Behrens garage here.

Besides the widow, there survive a small daughter, Marsha-Glee; his father, one sister Mrs. H. H. Hansen, and two nephews, all in Denmark.

Jensen Funeral Rites Conducted at Cedar Falls

Cedar Falls, la.—The funeral of James W. Jensen, 33, who died at Sartori Hospital Tuesday, was Thursday. Services at the home, 713 Main Street, were followed by services at Nazareth Lutheran church conduct ed by Rev. M. G. Christensen, paster. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.

*James' middle name was Wellington, not Waldemer, as shown in his obituary. His name is recorded as Wellington on his marriage record to De Elda Long, and his signature reads James Wellington Jensen. [Credit Chuck S.]
