Services for Elmer W. Turner, 67, of 1911 Jefferson St., will be 2 p.m. Friday at Kearns-Dykeman Funeral Chapel with burial in Midwest Garden of Memories. Graveside services wil be conducted by Becker-Chapman Post 131 of the American Legion.

Mr. Turner died Wednesday afternoon at Americana Healthcare Center. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 4 p.m. Thursday. Those who wish may give memorials to the American Cancer Society or the American Legion in his name.

He was born July 1, 1912, in Dunkerton, son of Lewis H. and Delia Mae Rudel Turner. He married Mrs. Avada "Billie" V. Van Skiver March 25, 1935, in Waterloo. He was owner and operator of Turner Motors and also was employed at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works for 24 years, retiring in 1974. He was a veteran of World War II with the Fifth Airborne 49th Service Squadron in the Asian Pacific Theater.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Donna M. Melin of Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Marcella K. Beck of 300 W. 18th St.; and seven grandchildren.
