EVANSDALE - Beverley Louise Cousins, 69, of Evansdale, died at home Saturday, Sept. 9, of natural causes.

She was born July 20, 1937, in Lima, daughter of Farrell and Helen Nelson Bass. She married Delmar "Don" Cousins on Oct. 22, 1955, in Fayette, and they later divorced.

Ms. Cousins was employed in the foundry at John Deere Waterloo Tractor Works until her retirement.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald of Cedar Rapids and Rex of Waterloo; a daughter, Susanne (Dean) Hogan of Independence; six grandchildren, Amanda (Andy) Mochal of Waterloo, Nicholas Hogan, Katie Costa, Ashlie Cousins, Tyler Hogan and Jordan Hogan, all of Independence; three great-grandchildren, Spenser and Leif Mochal, both of Waterloo, and Eric Hogan of Independence; five brothers, James (Mary) Bass of Randalia, Richard (Alda) Bass of Elk Run Heights, Robert Bass of Arlington, Gary (Betty) Bass of Oelwein and LaVerne (Beverly) Bass of Fayette; and a sister, Shirley Appleby of Monticello.

Preceded in death by her parents; and an infant son, Michael Cousins.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, with burial in Wadena Cemetery, Wadena. Public visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and for an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
