WATERLOO - Carolyn A. Stoner, 60, of Chicago, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at her home.

She was born Feb. 21, 1947, in Waterloo, daughter of Harry J. and Antoinette O'Keefe Stoner.

She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and her master's degree in English from the University of Northern Iowa. She was an accounting manager with S.U.A. Insurance Co., Chicago.

Survivors include a daughter, Julia Wade Fliss of Evergreen, Colo.; a son, Timothy Charles Fliss of Chicago; her mother, Antoinette Stoner of Waterloo; a sister, Julia Wade Stoner of Waterloo; and a brother, John O'Keefe (Lisa) Stoner of Boise, Idaho.

Preceded in death by her father.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with burial in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. Legion of Mary rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service.

Memorials may be directed to St. Joseph's Indian School, Chamberlain, S.D., or Southwest Indian Foundation, Gallup, N.M.
