David Alan Yearous, 55, of New Hampton, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.

He was born June 19, 1954, in Waterloo, son of Wayne and Phyllis Chandler Yearous. He married Sue Kipp on July 12, 1975, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Festina.

Mr. Yearous graduated from Jesup High School in 1972 and earned his electrical degree from Northeast Iowa Community College, Calmar, in 1982. He worked for nearly 20 years at Sara Lee, New Hampton. He later worked at Nestle, Waverly, and then Ramco Innovations, Cedar Falls.

Survived by his wife; three sons, Tyler (Ashley), Michael and Shawon, all of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Doug (Lois) of Washington; and two sisters, Sheila Bloxham of Washington and Janice (Jim) Cameron of Jesup.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Brooke.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Parish-St. Joseph Center, with burial in Calvary Cemetery, both in New Hampton. Public visitation from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hugeback & Chenoweth Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
