HUDSON - Ann Elizabeth Schwebach, 42, of Hudson, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at UnityPoint Health-Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born July 29, 1971, in Waterloo, daughter of Robert E. and Nancy L. Hemsath Hayes. She married Kent Schwebach on Sept. 25, 2010, in Waterloo.

She graduated from Columbus High School in 1989 and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Mrs. Schwebach was the office manager in Dr. Congdon’s office for 11 years.

Survived by her husband; four sons, Samuel and Jacob Slager, both at home, Matthew Schwebach (Dee Collins) of Washburn and Jordan Schwebach (Kelsey Barbour) of Ames; her father of Cedar Falls; seven brothers, Mark (Cheryl) Hayes of Rhodes, Brian (Julie) Hayes of Cedar Falls, Scott (Cindy) Hayes of Waterloo, Bruce (Mercedes) and Paul (Bryn) Hayes, both of Cedar Rapids, Eric Hayes of Cascade and Joel (Anne) Hayes of Altoona; and a sister, Ellen (Derrick) Woods of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by her mother.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary’s of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Eagle Center, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to her sons' educational fund in care of Veridian Credit Union, Account No. 7437250.

Ann loved the outdoors and saw beauty and art in everything. She crafted yard art out of old metal and shared it with family and friends. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, four-wheeling and camping, also there was no better taxi mom than her.
