WATERLOO -- Geneva A. Ives, 75, of Waterloo, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center, of natural causes.

She was born July 20, 1938, in Gladbrook, daughter of Carl and Lena Landt Raum. She married Marvin Ives in Galena, Ill. He died in 1993.

Mrs. Ives graduated from Gladbrook High School. She worked in the office at John Deere for 32 years, retiring in 1994.

Survived by a daughter, Becky Papesh of Cedar Falls; two stepchildren, Kevin (Jan) Ives of Traer and Mary Ann Ives of Parkersburg; grandchildren, Miranda (Heath) Brown of Cedar Falls, Amber Folken and Michael (Amy) Fleming, both of Waterloo, and Eric Mangrich and Shane Mangrich, both of Tripoli; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Leonard (Marjorie) Raum of Marshalltown.

Preceded in death by a son, Brian Ives, in 1993; two brothers, Larry and Gerald Raum; and a sister in infancy.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Garden View Chapel, Waterloo, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

The family will greet friends for an hour before services Monday at Garden View Chapel.
