CEDAR FALLS - Tamra Joy Schlitter, 73, of Cedar Falls, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at UnityPoint Health - Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 2, 1940, in Tomah, Wis., daughter of Harvey and Lora Huber Bukatz. She married the Rev. David Green on April 23, 1960, in Waterloo, and they later divorced. She then married Edward Schlitter on April 21, 1995, in Waterloo; he died in 1998.

She graduated from Waterloo East High School, and worked for the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Department, first as a process server, then as a dispatcher, retiring in 2002. She was a member of the Waterloo Exchange Club for many years.

Survived by a son, Kent (Erika) Green of Maynard; a daughter, Colette (Clay) Doss of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 10 grandchildren, Stephanie, Clay “CJ,” Tiffany, Brandon, Kayla, Sydnie, Luke, Ivy, Leah and Noah; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Gwen Buege of Waterloo; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Bukatz of Fort Worth, Texas.

Preceded in death by her parents; a son, Eric Green; a brother, Kent Bukatz; and a brother-in-law, Ralph “Rocky” Buege.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 550 W. Airline Highway, Waterloo. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, Waterloo, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.
