Charles J. “Chuck” Hutchison, 61, of Davenport, passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, in Davenport. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, at 2 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bettendorf. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at The Runge Mortuary, 838 E. Kimberly Road, Davenport. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery, LeClaire. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Chuck was born Sept. 2, 1952, in Centerville, the son of Russel and Amyl (Mikles) Hutchison. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering and then earned his MBA from the University of Northern Iowa. His first position out of college was as an engineer at Purolator. In 1975, he joined the Engine Works in Waterloo as an Industrial Engineer.

Chuck’s primary role was leading the development and improvement of the AE process for all Deere operations. In May, 1997, he relocated to Deere & Co. in Moline. From 2004 until now, he was a Project Manager in Order Fulfillment Integration. Chuck had established himself as a leader in the tireless development and deployment of key Enterprise Supply Management and Logistics processes.

He enjoyed traveling to countries all over the world, including Africa, China and South America. He was an avid photographer, devoted family man and lived for his family and friends. Chuck also was a loyal and devout Iowa State fan!

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Judy, his soul-mate for 38 years; children Brian Hutchison, Adam (Erika) Hutchison and Amanda Hutchison; sisters Irene Huss, MaryAnn (Jerry) Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He also will be remembered by many dear friends, including one of his closest, Lois Rusk and her husband.

Preceding Chuck in death, Lee Rusk. His parents, brother-in-law, Francis Huss, and an infant brother preceded him in death.
