LICHTY, BRADY, PIPPER, COOK, KLEIN

Word was received here Saturday of the death of James Budd Lichty, former resident of Waterloo, which occurred at 8:15 a. m. Saturday at his home in Tracy, Minn. He was 76 years old. Death was caused by infirmities incident to advanced age. Mr. Lichty had been in failing health for the past year, but his condition was not regarded as critical until two weeks ago.

Born April 8, 1867, in Orange Township, the son of Josiah and Elizabeth Lichty, he married Bird Grady on May 19, 1910, and the couple resided in Waterloo until 1913 when they moved to Tracy where Mr. Lichty engaged in farming. He retired four years ago. He was a member of the First Brethren church.

Surviving, besides the widow, are a daughter, Mrs. Ross Pipper, Lewisville, Ill.; and a son, James Lichty, at home. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Mary M. Cook, 915 Baltimore Street; Mrs. Genevieve Klein and Miss May Lichty, both of 324 West Ninth Street; and two brothers, W. O. Lichty, of Tracy, and F. R. Lichty of Long Beach, Cal.

Two brothers, Charles Hubert Lichty and A. L. Lichty, and a sister. Miss Etta Lichty, preceded him in death.

Funeral services are tentatively planned for Monday at Tracy. Mrs. Cook and Miss Lichty left Saturday evening to attend the funeral rites.
