BONK, Ray R. 1902-1986

Private family services for Ray R. Bonk, 84, of 1800 Jefferson St., will be Tuesday at Garden View Chapel with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Mr. Bonk died Sunday (Oct. 5, 1986) at Ravenwood Health Care Center.

He was born Sept. 22, 1902, in Grundy Center, son of Peter and Heberdene Krueger Bonk. He married Pearl M. Pint on July 25, 1925 jn Minneapolis.

He worked as a fire marshal for Deere & Co. for 17 years, retiring in 1964. He then worked at Ray's Rental until retiring in 1980,

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Beverly Knipp of 144 Hawthorne Ave. and Phyllis Owens of 5510 Steward Drive; a sister, Mrs. Tena Conradi of Reinbeck; and nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral chapel. Memorials may be made to Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.
