Maurice F. "Mose" Frink, 85, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Maurice was born January 27, 1919 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Warren and Ellen (Weiss) Frink. He was a graduate of Waterloo West High School and served with the Army Air Corps during WW II.

He married Sofia Demetrakos on August 7, 1940 at the Little Brown Church near Nashua, Iowa. They later divorced. He married Evelyn Guyer Camarata in February of 1976 at their home in Waterloo, Iowa. Maurice was a florist for most of his life and was the Founder and President of Flowerama. He was also co-owner of Frink’s Greenhouses with his brother, the late Herbert W. Frink. Maurice assisted the Boy Scouts of America with their horticultural projects for many years and was a member of both the Society of American Florists and the Society of Iowa Florists.

Maurice is survived by his wife, Evelyn, of Waterloo; his two daughters, Cathy (Ira) Kimm of Cedar Falls, Iowa and Tammy (David) Thornton of Ft. Collins, Colorado; a step-daughter, Mimi Camarata of Cedar Falls and a step-son, Ross Camarata of Rochester, Minnesota; seven grandchildren: Andrew, Holly, and Grant Kimm, and Reid, Kelsey, Scott and Lauren Thornton; four step-grandchildren, Damon Camarata, Dana Horn, and Kyle and Barrett Fitzpatrick; and a brother, Richard (Maylene) Frink of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory Frink; a brother, Herbert W. Frink and a sister, Marcia Talley.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 4, at St. John Lutheran Church, with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
