EVANSDALE - Services for Mrs. Irene E. Place, 84, of Des Moines, formerly of Evansdale, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Chapel in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Place died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

She was born Nov. 29, 1891, in Marshailtown, the daughter of Logan and Nina Waller. She married Lee Place June 24, 1950, in Des Moines. She was retired
from the Rath Packing Company,

Survivors include two sons, Jack Stewart of Rapids City, Ill., and James Stewart of Mesa, Ariz.; and a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Sampson of Des Moines.

Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood Funeral Home in Waterloo after 3:30 p.m. Thursday.
