Dr. Joseph Mullen, about 56, former resident of Eagle Center and Waterloo, died at 6 a. m. Friday in Sacramento; Cal., according to word received here by Mrs. Pauline Mullen, 800 Sumner St. Dr. Joseph Mullen was a brother of Mrs. Mullen's husband, Louis Mullen, who died two years ago.

Dr. Mullen was born in Eagle Center, la., and was graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School in Waterloo. He was graduated from Loyola University, Chicago, where he received his medical degree. He took his internship at Chicago and moved to Sacramento, where he had been practicing up to the time of his death

Surviving are his wife and four children in Sacramento, a brother Tom Mullen, 937 Kingsley Ave and one sister, Mrs. Frank Nelson Pontiac, Mich.
