CEDAR FALLS -- Lisa Marie Rowen, 46, of Cedar Falls, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, in Waterloo.

She was born May 4, 1967, in Oak Park, Ill., daughter of Arthur and Mary Jo Rogge Kossack. She married Scott Dempsey; they later divorced. She later married Mike Rowen and they later divorced.

She attended school in Oelwein. She was a loan adviser with CBE Group, Waterloo, and was attending Hawkeye Community College.

Survived by three children, Jacob Dempsey, Marissa Rowen and Josephine Rowen, all of Cedar Falls; her mother and stepfather, Mary Jo and Michael Geary of Oelwein; her father of Des Moines; a sister, Gina (Karl) Ekstam of Bondurant; two brothers, Michael (Darcie) Kossack of Bondurant and Jeremiah (Jamie) Geary of Oelwein; four nieces; three nephews; as well as many friends.

Preceded in death by her grandparents, Rose and Nick Rogge; her aunt, Judy Rogge; and two great-aunts, Mary Reader and Angie Riddle.

Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, both in Oelwein. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Geilenfeld Funeral Home, Oelwein.

Lisa was a very kind person who loved life and was always willing to help another. She loved shopping and cooking, but especially loved attending her children’s activities and time with her family. Lisa will be dearly missed by all who knew, and continue to love her.
