WATERLOO - Harold Robert "Bob" Hoth, 90, of Story City, formerly of Waterloo and Radcliffe, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007 at Mary Greeley Medical Center, Ames.

He was born Dec. 5, 1917, in Sumner, son of Robert and Josephine Gruning Hoth. On July 19, 1939, he married Ellen Turner in Waterloo. On June 22, 1968, he married Verdelle Maakestad Reisetter.

Mr. Hoth worked for Waterloo Mills and the Cedar Falls Street Department, retiring in 1979.

Survivors include his wife; five daughters, JoAn (David) Hinton of Parma, Ohio, Janet (James) Johnson of Eagle Grove, and Linda (Steven) Miller, Marjorie (Roger) Heiserman and Brenda Ropson, all of Manchester; a son, James of Waterloo; four stepsons, Tom (Janis) Reisetter of Cedar Falls, David (Marianna) Reisetter of Westmont, Ill., Michael Reisetter of Brookings, S.D., and Mark (Jean) Reisetter of Lewiston, Minn.; two stepdaughters, Becky Rolland of La Porte City and Mary (Laverne) Severseike of Garden City; 38 grandchildren, 62 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Primus of Sumner.

Preceded in death by a sister, Helen Shanewise; a brother, Floyd; and a son-in-law, Steve Rolland.

Services were Monday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Radcliffe, with burial in Racliffe Cemetery. Boeke Funeral Home, Radcliffe, was in charge of arrangements.
