WATERLOO -- Larry A. Woodbury, 70, of Ankeny, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Mercy Hospice, Johnston.

He was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Waterloo, son of Luther and Esther Severeid Woodbury. He married Linda Lee Fisher on July 31, 1964, in Preston, Minn.

Mr. Woodbury was a design engineer for John Deere and Co. for 36 years, retiring in 1999.

Survived by his wife; a daughter, Dana L. (Mike) Gonnerman of Overland Park, Kan.; two sons, Brian A. (Wendy) of Lakeville, Minn., and Randy R. (April) of Bondurant; nine grandchildren, Erica, Ashley and Mallory Gonnerman of Overland Park, Tyler, Alyssa and Ben Woodbury of Lakeville, and Kaden, Colin and Abby Woodbury of Bondurant; a sister, Lila (Loren) Krueger of Onalaska, Wis.; and three brothers, John (Marilyn) of Waterloo, Russ (Cindy) of Aurora, Mo., and Jim (Sheri) of Rochester, Minn.

Preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bill and Dick; and a nephew, Lee Krueger.

Services: 11 a.m. Saturday at Hagerman Baptist Church, followed by cremation. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, and an hour before services Saturday at the church. The casket will be closed at all times.
