CEDAR FALLS -- Robert Glenn Crinklaw Sr., 93, of Cedar Falls, died at home Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013.

He was born Sept. 30, 1920, in Cedar Falls, son of Glen B. and Vesta I. Wilson Crinklaw. He married LaWanda Hubbard on Jan. 22, 1947, in Nashua; she died Sept. 26, 2013.

Mr. Crinklaw graduated from Cedar Falls High School, Iowa State Teachers College (UNI), and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He taught school for several years and then worked for John Deere, retiring in 1985.

Survived by three sons, Robert B. (Imelda) of Moline, Ill., James F. of Hopkins, Minn., and John L. of Waterloo; a daughter, Lynda Jane (Jack) Rupp of Elbow Lake, Minn.; three grandchildren, James D. (Kim) Crinklaw, Elizabeth L. (Matt) Perkins and Robert W. (Melanie Flockhart) Crinklaw; and five great-grandchildren, Megan Crinklaw, T.J. Crinklaw, Emilie Perkins, Natalie Perkins and Gavin Crinklaw.

Preceded in death by his parents; a son, Daniel; a great-grandson, Gabriel Perkins; and a brother, Donald B.

Services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, preceded by an hour of visitation. Burial will be in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by Cedar Falls AMVETS Post 49.
