The remains of Mr. Clarence Lathrop arrived here early Sunday morning and were taken to the home of Mr. George Clark. The burial was made in the family lot in Greenwood Cemetery at 10.30 o'clock.

Mr. Lathrop was formerly a resident of this city and married Miss Pauline Hatch of Cedar Falls. He was ill about a week with pneumonia and passed away Thursday afternoon at his home in Chicago.

The bereaved widow was accompanied by her brother Mr. Ned Hatch and her sister, Mrs. Dr. Janney on her sad journey here. The funeral services were held in Chicago but at the grave, Mrs. Gilley as reader for the Christian Scientist church, read the 91st psalm and the last part of their religious service, and the sad rites were finished.

Mr. Lathroo was an uncle of Mrs. W. W. Miller, of Waterloo, and Mrs. Lathrop is a niece of Mrs. W. H. McClure and a daughter of Mrs. Hammil of this city.
