[Waterloo Semi-Weekly Courier, Friday, June 7, 1907]
(From Wednesday's Daily)

Death entered the home of Nels Nordholm last night and summoned forth his two littie girls, Edna Amelia and Elin Augusta, the former in the thirteenth year and the latter past eleven. Death was due to pneumonia following measles.

The little girls had been sick for some time with measles but seemed well and went out doors on Decoration Day. Both caught cold which developed into pneumonia and finally resulted in the death of both a few hours apart. The case is a very sad son, for the father is thus bereft of his two little girls. The mother is dead and the only other children are an older daughter who is now seriously ill with pneumonia and a younger brother. The family has lived in Waterloo only a few months having come here from Minnesota.

Edna Amelia, the older child was born September 10, 1894 and Elin Augusta, February 17, 1896.

There will be no funeral but burial will be made tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock in Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Frank Cole will make a few remarks and give a short prayer at the grave.
