Services for Edith E. Smith, 87, of the Harmony House and formerly of 917 Newton St., will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Parrott & Wood Chapel with burial in Fairview Cemetery. She died Friday afternoon at the Harmony House.

She was born Dec. 10, 1896, at Mendota, Ill., daughter of Frank and Liona Fisk Furbush. She married Martin M. Smith in March 1918 in Waterloo. He died in 1959. She married Harry Smith in December 1960. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a son, Harland Foster of 1021 Burton Ave.; two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters; and a sister, Mrs. Lola Crawford of Tucson, Ariz.

Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Memorials may be made to Central Christian Church.
