CEDAR FALLS -- Marcia A. Lyon, 88, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at UPH Allen Hospital, Waterloo.

She was born Jan. 20, 1925, in Burbank, Calif., daughter of Earl C. and Winifred A. Eichar McKee. She married Howard W. Lyon on June 8, 1947. He died Dec. 7, 2004.

She studied zoology for three years at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and then obtained her Registered Physical Therapy certificate from The University of Iowa. She was employed as a physical therapist with Allen Memorial Hospital for many years. She was a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, Gamma Phi Beta, PEO Chapter KL and the Audubon Society.

Survived by a son, Howard Jr. of Cedar Falls; two daughters, Dr. Wendy (Robert) Prigge of Urbandale and Stephanie (Gregory) Marra of Cedar Falls; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Service, and for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the Howard W. Lyon Memorial Endowment, UNI Foundation; the church, or Allen Memorial Hospital Foundation.

Marcia loved birds, animals and music performances.
