WATERLOO -- Lucile M. Trask, 96, of Waterloo, formerly of Evansdale and Jesup, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013, at Manor Care Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born March 14, 1917, in Waterloo, daughter of Charles Walter and Bertha Caroline Nordman Hyde. She married Frank H.B. Trask on Sept. 30, 1939, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2010.

Mrs. Trask was a seamstress at McGowan’s Dry Cleaning for several years and Sibert’s Laundry for six years, retiring in 1974. She and her husband also managed Parker Funeral Chapel in Jesup for 15 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survived by a son, Jim (E. Marie) of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Marilyn (Joe) Benhoff of Evansdale; seven grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and another on the way; three sisters, Marion DeHut of Madrid, Betty Smith of Waterloo and Edna Adams of Broadway, N.C.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Elsie Lawson and Ruth Smith.

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church.
