CEDAR FALLS — Services for Ida Matson, 86, of the Cedar Falls Health Care Center will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Nazareth Lutheran Church, with burial in West View Cemetery, LaPorte City.

She died Friday (Jan. 22, 1988) at Sartori Hospital of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 17, 1901 at Hollandale, Wis., the daughter of George and Annie Berg Matson. She and her mother moved to Cedar Falls in 1921. Before her retirement she worked for the University of Northern Iowa in the Bureau of Research.

She is survived by a sister, Janet Beatrice Gates of LaPorte City.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Delia Kitchen, Mabel Thompson and Alice McQuilkin.

Memorials may be made to Nazareth Lutheran Church.

Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Dahl-VanHove-Schoof Funeral Home and for an hour before services at the church.
