Lewis Dillon Pray, 1135 South Street, former coal dealer, died at 8;25 a.m. Monday in a local hospital of a heart ailment. He was 71 years old, and had been a Waterloo resident 22 years, after coming here from Chester, Ia.

Born Jan. 24, 1871, in Wayne County, la., the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Pray, he married Miss Dora Parsons there on Feb. 27, 1895.

Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Charles Lininger, 1135 South street; a sister, Mrs. Ida Niday, Corydon, Ia., and two grandchildren.

He was a member of the Central Christian church and of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Mr. Pray had been a hospital patient since April 8.

The body was taken to the Kearns Garden chapel.
