CEDAR FALLS - Emma Jane Reed, 69, of Cedar Falls, died at home Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013.

She was born Dec. 9, 1943, in Manchester, daughter of George and Esther Hansen Jaycox.

She received her bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Northern Iowa, as well a degree in computer programming from BIT in Cedar Falls. She worked in IT for John Deere, retiring in 2009, and then worked at World’s Window.

Survived by two sons, Guy (Pamela) of Minneapolis and Ethan (Sandie) of Claremont, Minn.; a daughter, Victoria (Matthew) Niemann of Madison, Wis.; four grandsons, Daniel, Austin, Conar (Brianna) and Colin Reed; a great-grandson, Rowan Reed; and two sisters, Betty Brown, and Jackie Gassmann.

Preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Anna Belle Callahan and June Rathert.

Memorial visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls.
