WATERLOO - Laurette Albrecht, 99, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Waterloo, died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at the Western Home, Cedar Falls, of natural causes.

She was born Jan. 19, 1907, in Waterloo, daughter of Michael and Annie O'Connell Reddin. She married George E. Albrecht on April 10, 1928, at St. John's Catholic Church in Waterloo. He died July 5, 1993.

Mrs. Albrecht graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy, Waterloo, and Iowa State Teachers College, Cedar Falls.

Survivors include three sons, James (Myrtle) of Cedar Falls, Joseph (Janet) Breezy Point, Minn., and John (Deborah) of Frankfort, Ky.; two daughters, Jean (Al) Bonnett of St. Peters, Mo., and Mary (Roger) Doering of Green Valley, Ariz.; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary; two brothers, Jack and Earl Reddin; and three sisters, Ethel Bush, Martha Pins and Margaret "Peg" Reidel.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Edward's Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 6 p.m. vigil. Visitation also for an hour before services Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul or The Western Home.
