WATERLOO - Susie K. Rehorst, 95, of Oakland Manor Care Facility, Oakland, formerly of Waterloo, died Friday, June 23, 2006, at Mercy Hospital, Council Bluffs.

She was born Aug. 2, 1910, in West Union, daughter of Clinton and Ella Minger Rush. She married Charles Henry Rehorst on Oct. 18, 1934, in Galena, Ill. He died May 19, 1984.

Mrs. Rehorst graduated from high school in West Union and was employed for several years as a police matron in Waterloo.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Eric D. (Linda) Rehorst of Upper Peninsula, Mich.; a daughter, Suzon Ross of Oakland; five grandchildren, John C. (Darla) Rehorst, Johanna R. Rehorst, Katherine E. Rehorst, David Ross of U.S. Marine Corps and. Michael (Clare) Ross MD, FACEP; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey, Garrett and Noah Ross.

Preceded in death by three sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and George) Ahrens, Dorothy and Richard Brackin and Jessie and Harold Wittenburg.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
