WATERLOO - Evelyn Fay Kuhlmann, 87, of rural Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes.

She was born Aug. 1, 1918, on the family farm in rural Waterloo, daughter of James and Edna Wetzel Richards. On March 22, 1936, she married Edwin Kuhlmann at First Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Mrs. Kuhlmann attended Waterloo East High School. She and her husband farmed in rural Waterloo.

Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Barbara (Robert) Morrow of Reinbeck, Joyce (Bernard) Sadler of Luana, Debra (Randy) Fowler of Denver and Gloria (Steve) Clough of Waterloo; three sons, Daniel (Sharon) of Sumner, Michael of San Francisco and Timothy of Waterloo; 17 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia (James) Horan of Eastpointe, Mich., and Irene Franckowiak of St. Claire Shores, Mich.

Preceded in death by a son, Alan; and three brothers-in-law, Russell Watts, Richard Franckowiak and Werner Kuhlmann.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John#'s Lutheran Church-Bennington, rural Waterloo, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Denver, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or to Cedar Valley Hospice.
