Waterloo - Dr. Linda Mary Cooley, 67 of Muscatine, formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, at Rosewood Estates.

She was born Aug. 20, 1946, in Waterloo, daughter of George and Edith Gardner Cooley.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Northern Iowa, her masters from DePaul University, and received her Doctorate of Internal Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Dr. Cooley practiced in Waterloo and Muscatine.

Survived by her mother of Waterloo; two sisters, Pat (Phil) Irwin of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Sue (Kevin) Faes of Bettendorf; two brothers, George (Cathy) Cooley of Waterloo and Steve (Darcy) Cooley of Iowa City; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father.

Memorial Services were held today at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway was in charge of arrangements.

Linda loved her family and her many patients she cared for.
