CEDAR FALLS -- James Emmett Watson, 77, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at the Western Home Communities-Martin Center.

He was born May 11, 1936, in Doylestown, Pa., son of James and Margaret H. Smith Watson. He married Carol Middleton on Sept. 23, 1995, in New Hope, Pa.

Mr. Watson owned and operated J&R Provisions Trucking, Cedar Falls, for 50 years, and also operated J&R Provisions Store for 15 years, retiring in 2009.

Survived by his wife; a son, Robert (Karen) of Lisbon, N.H.; three daughters, Traci (Craig) Worm of Lakeville, Minn., Terri Andersen of Waterloo and Kelli Masters, of Hawkeye; and nine grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Fredsville Lutheran Church, Dike, with inurnment in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday and an hour before services Friday, all at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the church building fund.
