CEDAR FALLS - Charles G. Fry, 83, of 2623 Terrace Drive and Madeira Beach, Fla, died Wednesday, Sept 28, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn, of cancer and heart disease.

He was born April 15, 1911, in Franklin County, son of Edmund and Florence Elliott Fry. He married Doris K. Kirgis on Oct 12, 1940, in Nora Springs. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and did graduate work at the University of California - Los Angeles.

Survived by his wife; a son, Kirk of Palo Also, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a sister, Lois Fry Damory.

Memorial services: 5 p.m. Saturday at the Hearst Center for the Arts, with graveside services and burial of remains in Perry at a later date.
