WATERLOO -- Connie Jean Gill, 77, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Allen Hospital.

She was born Jan. 24, 1936, in Oelwein, daughter of Paul and Louise Hoth Jacoby. She married Robert Gill Sr. on Nov. 27, 1954, in Waterloo. He died April 2, 1988.

Mrs. Gill was employed with Caterpillar Tractor Co. for 12 years, Waterloo Schools for eight years and then was a demonstrator in the meat department of Hy-Vee.

Survived by two sons, Robert Jr. of Newark, Ark., and Mark (Susan) of Waterloo; a daughter, Janice Demoney of Oskaloosa; seven grandchildren, Duane “Guy” Frahm, Alicia Demoney, Robert J. Gill III, David Gill, Deborah Gill, Daniel Gill and Shalena (Zack) Huffman; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Tyler Frahm, Desmond Rowden and Reasa Huffman; and two sisters, Pauline Closson of Waterloo and Ethel Wentworth of Maquoketa.

Preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Meyer, Betty Sauer, Katherine Meinders and Dorothy Jones.

There will be no services. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.
