WATERLOO - Mildred L. "Millie" Brannon, 86, of Moberly, Mo., formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2005, at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Mo.

She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Milwaukee, Wis., daughter of Oren W. and Helen E. Dawson Wood. She married Emmett "Oats" Kessler on May 10, 1941. He died in 1960. She married Earl "Huck" Jackson in 1957 and they were later divorced. She married Russell Joseph Brannon on March 10, 1966, in Preston, Minn. He died March 22, 1981.

Mrs. Brannon graduated from high school in Moberly in 1939. She was employed for John Deere & Co. from 1974 until retirement in 1986. She also owned and operated the Victory Tavern and Huck & Mill's Tavern, both in Waterloo.

Survivors include a stepson, Richard J. Brannon of Waterloo; a step-granddaughter, Alicia (Tom) Smith of Minneapolis; a stepgrandson, Ryan (Maryann) Brannon of Raymond; two step-great-granddaughters, Kenley Jo Smith and Paisley Smith, both of Minneapolis; a brother, O.E. "Gene" Wood of Moberly; a niece, Teri K. (Bart) Gross of St. Charles, Mo.; two nephews, Gary E. (Mary Joan) Wood and Steven (Denise) Wood, both of Moberly; and 10 great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Wood; and a sister-in-law, Elaine Brannon.

Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Public visitation from 9 a.m. until services Monday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
