Yvonne D. Donels, 66, of Manchester, died at home Sunday, Oct. 20, 2013.

She was born Aug. 27, 1947, in Waterloo, daughter of Earl and Eunice Lund Colvin. She married Jim DeWald in 1967, and they later divorced. On Feb. 14, 1997, she married Dwayne Donels in Hawaii.

She graduated from West High School, Waterloo, in 1965, and then received her teaching certification and master's degree in computer science at the University of Northern Iowa. She taught at Edison Junior High and Grant Elementary in Waterloo and later worked at John Deere. She also owned and operated Total Fitness health club in the 1980’s and taught jazzercise and competed in body building competitions. She was a member of Community Congregational Church, Manchester.

Survived by her husband; a son, Doug (Karin) of Normal, Ill.; three stepchildren, Robert (Karen) Donels of Colorado Springs, Colo., Rick (Dawn) Donels of Center Point and Toshia (Larry) Isaac of Surprise, Ariz.; 10 stepgrandchildren; a stepbrother and two stepsisters, Steve, Linda and Julie.

Preceded in death by her mother; her father; and her stepmother, Vivian Colvin.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Community Congregational Church, Manchester. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Manchester, and for an hour before services Saturday at the church.
