ACKLES, MEYER, MORROW, HOPPES

Funeral services for Watson G. Ackles, 49, painting contractor in Waterloo for the last 20 years, who died at his home, 427 Reed Street, at 6:30 p.m. Saturday following an extended illness will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Kistner Chapel. Rev. Earl A. Roadman, pastor of Grace Methodist Episcopal Church, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview. Masons will have charge of services at the grave.

Mr. Ackles was born in Canandaigue, N. Y. March 31, 1878. He married Mrs. Minnie Meyer at Kansas City on Oct. 14, 1914. He had been a resident of Waterloo for 25 years and was a member of Black Hawk lodge, no. 72, I. O. O. F. of Waterloo lodge No. 105 A. F. & A. M.; and of the Homesteaders lodge. He was also a member of First Methodist Episcopal Church.

Surviving are his wife, four children: Shirley, 11; Watson Jr., 9; Joyce, 6, and Beverly Ann, 3; a brother, Sherman Ackles, 321 Second Street East; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Morrow, Chicago; his step-mother, Mrs. Agnes Ackles, 912 Mulberry Street; and the following half brothers and half-sisters: Albert Ackles, Traer; George Ackles, Houston, Tex.; Fred Ackles, 2113 Mulberry Street and Mrs. Marie Hoppes, 912 Mulberry Street.
