LA PORTE CITY — Laura A. Jett 70, of Faribault, Minn., and formerly of La Porte City, died Thursday, Aug. 29, 1991, at Faribault Manor in Faribault, Minn, of complications from a stroke.

She was born Dec. 24, 1920, in Osceola, daughter of Elmer and Mary Lamb McNichols. She married William Hurley Jett on April 11, 1946, in Osceola; he died in 1973. She worked as an aide and a housekeeper for several nursing homes.

She is survived by three daughters, Mary Jane Williams of Woodward, Jo Ann Reid of Santa Anna, Calif., and Patricia Kelly of Faribault; two sisters, Edith McCarl of Keyes, Okla., Mildred Propst of Nonvalk; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Merle, Pearl, Berle and Arthur; two sisters, Lois Propst and Leona Springer; and a grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Wesleyan Church, with burial in West View Cemetery. Friends may call at Huisman Funeral Home from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, from 9 a.m. until noon Tuesday, and an hour before services.
