Funeral services for Walter C. Martinez, 64, of 824 Fowler St. will be noon Tuesday at St. John's Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery. There will be a parish rosary at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Oppold Funeral Home where friends may call.

Mr. Martinez died at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Schoitz Memorial Hospital of complications following surgery.

He was born Aug, 3, 1910, in Monterey, Mexico, the son of Pete and Maria Aurrioles Martinez. He married Micaila Sanchez in 1936 at Fort Dodge. He was employed at Rath-Packing Company in shop maintenance.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Denmen Plew of Washington, D,C,, and Mrs. Dolly Myrsiades of Denver, Colo.; three sons, Dr. Gilbert Martinez of Upland, Calif., Alfred Martinez of Denver, Colo., and Rick Martinez at home; a brother, Arnie Martinez of 518 Hammond Ave.; and three sisters, Mrs. Jesse Silva of 571 Martin Rd., Mrs. Leland Powers of 149 Letsch Rd. and Mrs. Wally Silva of 328 Archer Rd.
